While designing our “kitchen gazebo,” I struggled to find inspiration that matched the look and feel I envisioned. Most structures I came across were either boxy Texas-style or hexagonal old-timey gazebos. I wanted something charming and pretty, so I decided to focus on custom details like vintage-inspired corbels.

A corbel is a decorative bracket that connects beams to posts, providing strength and softening harsh lines. To add charm and character, I decided to incorporate vintage-inspired corbels into our gazebo.
The Original Corbels On The Covered Walkway

From our covered walkway, I drew inspiration for the corbels, which had a sweet scrollwork design. To replicate this on a larger scale for the gazebo, I decided to use custom-made corbels.
