I am thrilled to share with you the most beautiful garage doors that I never thought I would be so excited about. When we decided to upgrade our garages, our main goal was functionality, with low expectations regarding their appearance. Situated away from the street where only friends and delivery personnel could see them, our garages were not a part of our home’s curb appeal. Our main focus was on improving their functionality, making them dry, clean, and safe. However, today, we are specifically discussing the doors – which we now consider to be the best garage doors ever.

The Before
Five years ago, this is where we started. We knew we were fortunate to have such a large garage, but they were in poor condition and required repairs.
We neglected them for a couple of years, eventually hiring an affordable painter who painted them without any preparation. The fresh coat helped improve their appearance, but we didn’t touch them for another three years.
In January, we realized the need for storage as we planned to restore the original carriage house on the property. Our garages would serve as our future storage space for vintage items and potential product lines. Thus, we engaged Afore Construction to renovate them, with new garage doors being a necessity.
After receiving recommendations for Ponderosa, a local garage door installer, we were impressed by their customer service, speed, and product variety. Opting for Clopay garage doors, known for their customization and styles, we selected the Canyon Ridge Elements doors. These low-maintenance, insulated steel doors with composite overlays were painted in SW Dutch Tile Blue to match our property’s historic style.
