The beauty industry has finally started to address the needs of women during perimenopause and menopause, with a range of new products being launched to cater to this demographic. With around 75 million women currently experiencing these stages of life, there is a significant demand for personal-care formulas that specifically target the concerns and needs associated with this transition. Dove has recently introduced a Women’s Wellness Collection, developed in collaboration with gynecologists, menopause experts, and dermatologists, marking a significant milestone for the brand.
New York gynecologist Alicia Robbins, a perimenopause specialist and co-developer of the Dove Collection, emphasizes the importance of acknowledging common symptoms such as body odor and dry skin that women may experience during perimenopause. The lack of open discussion around these issues can leave women feeling isolated in their experiences.
According to Dove’s research, a large percentage of women over 45 are actively seeking skincare products that address their changing needs. However, many menopausal women still face stigma surrounding their symptoms. The new Dove collection aims to provide superior care for symptoms that are often dismissed as “TMI,” including itch, odor, dryness, and sensitivity. The campaign for this collection, titled “Made with TMI,” will feature real stories from women across the country, aiming to break the silence and stigma surrounding menopausal symptoms.
