Two board-certified plastic surgeons I interviewed for this article both recommended a drugstore eye cream. Dr. Diaz praised its use of retinol, which stimulates collagen production and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. He noted that many drugstore eye creams focus on puffiness or discoloration, but retinol offers long-term improvement.
Dr. Moy agreed with Dr. Diaz, highlighting the cream’s balance of glycerin, vitamin E, and vitamin B5 for hydration and barrier support. She mentioned that it is less irritating than other retinol eye products, making it suitable for beginners or those with mildly sensitive skin. With consistent use, she believes it can visibly reduce crow’s feet, fine lines, and dark circles.
