The year 2025 was a significant one for EHD, filled with more highs than lows, for which I am extremely grateful. As we close out the 15th year of the blog, it’s hard to believe how much has happened over the years. From winning Designstar to hosting a TV show, having kids, buying homes, writing books, expanding and contracting the business, it has been quite the ride. To those who have been with me through it all, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This year has been a whirlwind of hard work and fun, with my amazing team working tirelessly to create daily content across multiple platforms.
In January, we welcomed Marlee, our fantastic social media manager, to the team. With her addition, our Portland crew is now complete with Gretchen, Kaitlin, Jess, Mal, and Caitlin, who are all doing incredible work both locally and from LA. Our workflow has improved significantly with a larger team, and I am grateful for each and every one of them. The year saw a record number of reveals and personal growth, and I am excited for what the future holds.
Room Service Sofa Shoot

We kicked off the year with our Room Service sofa line shoot, spanning multiple locations over 8 days. It was a challenging yet enjoyable experience, with valuable lessons learned along the way. Despite some hurdles, we are proud to have the sofas made in America and available to our customers much faster. The support and reviews from all of you have been instrumental in our success.
Two Epic Team Retreats

Being able to connect with my team through two epic retreats this year was a highlight for me. These gatherings allowed us to bond, brainstorm, and recharge in beautiful locations. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such talented and dedicated individuals.
Our AI Comment Monitoring
One of the highlights for me this year was implementing AI technology for comment monitoring. This technology has allowed us to filter out negative comments, reducing anxiety and creating a more positive environment for everyone. While not everyone may agree with this approach, it has been a game-changer for me and my team in maintaining our mental health and focus on creating valuable content.
