After settling into my winter hibernation, I’ve finally recuperated from the holiday season. My social energy has returned to its usual level (though I’m still in hibernation mode). Throughout January, my evenings have been filled with organizing, making soups, eating healthily, practicing yoga, reading novels, and indulging in various beauty treatments. From face masks to hair masks, I’ve pampered myself with a range of products to combat the dryness caused by holiday excesses. I firmly believe that self-care activities like applying masks are not only beneficial for the skin but also for the mind. Taking the time to care for oneself sends a positive message to the brain, reinforcing the importance of self-love.
My self-care routine often begins with a relaxing bath, using Dr. Teals foaming bath in lavender for a soothing experience. I also incorporate magnesium flakes for added relaxation. After my bath, I indulge in dry brushing before moisturizing with a luxurious body butter. These simple rituals help me unwind and feel rejuvenated before bedtime.
When it comes to face masks, I’m a big fan of trying out different types, from gel to clay to sheet masks. I particularly enjoy the rejuvenating effects of PDRN masks, which contain salmon sperm DNA for skin cell regeneration. These masks have become a staple in my skincare routine, leaving my skin looking refreshed and radiant.
For hair masks, I prioritize products that nourish my dry, fine, curly hair. Brands like Briogeo and Kerastase have been go-to choices for deep conditioning treatments. I also experiment with new hair masks to keep my locks healthy and hydrated.
In addition to skincare and haircare, I’ve incorporated red light therapy into my daily routine for its collagen-stimulating benefits. The red light treatments, along with supplements for heart health, contribute to my overall wellness goals for the year.
As I continue to explore new beauty products and self-care practices, I welcome recommendations from others to enhance my routine. Taking time for self-care is a valuable investment in one’s well-being, and I’m always eager to discover new ways to pamper myself.
