Various shows are approaching on the calendar, creating a bustling landscape of activity.
Notable highlights from the recent week include the 100x Reining Classic in Tulsa, where Cade McCutcheon achieved first and second place in the Invitational Futurity riding Twohundreddegrees and Midnight Crush. With impressive scores of 223½ and 223, McCutcheon earned over $100,000 in total from the two horses.
Andrea Fappani also made a mark in Tulsa by securing the top spot in the 4-Year-Old Open Stakes with a score of 232 riding Best Is Yet Too Come. Additionally, Fappani tied for first and second place in the Open Derby riding OO7 and Shining Guns N Roses, both with scores of 226.5.
Meanwhile, Dany Tremblay repeated his victory in the Super Slide in Tulsa, riding High And Mightey to a score of 39½ and earning $30,000 for owner Stone Mountain Stables.

Reining: 100X Reining Classic Wraps in Tulsa

Cade McCutcheon and Twohundreddegrees (DFS Group) emerged victorious in the 100X Invitational Open Level 4 with a score of 223½, claiming the highest payout of $75,000 for the week. McCutcheon also secured a second-place tie aboard Midnight Crush (Bosque Ranch Performance Horses LLC) at 223, along with Casey L. Deary and Markedfourgreatness (Amy Liske), each earning $37,799.
Andrea Fappani showcased his skill by sharing the championship titles in the Open Derby and NARS Open Derby, tying OO7 (Sandy Vargo) and Shining Guns N Roses (23 Quarter Horses SRL) with scores of 226½, resulting in earnings of $15,189.03 each in the Open Derby and $24,853.49 each in the NARS Open Derby. Erik Caddeo and Frankey Blue Eyes (Wright Reining LLC) claimed third place with a score of 225½.
Fappani also secured the second-highest payout of the week in the 100X Open 4-Year-Old Stakes finals, riding Best Is Yet Too Come (Tim J. Anderson, Clark Reining Horses LLC) to a score of 232 and earnings of $62,207.87 in Level 4. Craig C. Schmersal and Slide Action (Diamond Creek Ranch) took second place with a score of 230, earning $37,865.66, while Cade McCutcheon and Noize Complaint (Bosque Ranch) claimed third place with a score of 229½ and $28,399.25 in winnings.

Reined Cow Horse: SDRCHA Road to Texas

Matt Koch dominated the SDRCHA’s Road to Texas results, securing top positions multiple times. Koch and SJR DiamondRendezvou (San Juan Ranch) claimed victory in the Open Futurity with a score of 437.50, earning $2,169.50, and then repeated the success in the Stallion Stakes Open Futurity on the same horse for an additional $1,800.54.
In the new Bridle Spectacular, introduced this year with added sponsorship by Donna Maston, Ryan P. Gallentine and One Ata Time (Steven M. Mattson) topped the Open division with a score of 437.50, earning $2,398.20. Kristy Kay Miller rode her own Glamour Royallty to victory in the Non Pro Spectacular with the same score, earning $885.15.

Cutting: Cascades Futurity & Aged Event

The only NCHA premier aged event in Oregon is currently ongoing at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds, featuring Open, Non Pro, Amateur, and Youth classes. The event also includes the Way Out West Cutting Series finale with $50,000 added, as well as the Cascade Range Select Sale, offering a total of over $680,000 in payouts and prizes.
