I used to have a strong aversion to faux branches and flowers, considering them tacky and in poor taste. However, my opinion has shifted over time, and here’s why:
I Love Flowers, But…

When I moved to Portland, I had to switch to plants and foraging due to restrictions at the flower market. Foraging for flowers became a more sustainable and cost-effective option for me. While I still appreciate the beauty of real flowers for special occasions, everyday use wasn’t practical.
So What Do I Do Instead?
Plants have become my go-to for everyday decor. The indoor plant market offers a variety of options that are both visually appealing and low-maintenance. I find that faux plants can also be a great alternative, especially for larger events or photo shoots.
Forage And Clip From Garden

Living in Oregon with a spacious yard allows me to easily forage for beautiful branches and greenery. This practice has become a staple for me, especially during the winter months.
Dried Flowers

I’ve discovered that dried flowers like hydrangeas, billy balls, and thistles can add a unique touch to my decor. Their longevity and rustic charm make them a favorite of mine.
Yes. Faux Branches – They’ve Gotten So Good!!

While I was hesitant about faux flowers initially, I’ve come to appreciate the quality and versatility of faux branches. They can be a cost-effective and long-lasting option for everyday use.
All Faux Flowers Are Not Made Equal

Leading design companies are now producing high-quality faux flowers that look incredibly realistic. These faux flowers can be a practical choice for spaces that require low maintenance or frequent refreshment.
Ultimately, while my love for real flowers and plants remains strong, I’ve come to appreciate the convenience and aesthetics of faux branches and flowers. They offer a sustainable and budget-friendly option for enhancing home decor. Are you a fan of faux flowers? Let me know your thoughts!
