Sarah EverettAssistant Editor of Home Projects at Apartment Therapy

Originally hailing from Columbia, Missouri, a journalism hub and home to the renowned True/False Film Fest, my passion for journalism, storytelling, and nonfiction has been ingrained in me for as long as I can remember.

My educational background includes an MA in journalism from the University of Missouri and a BA from Belmont University. During my time in school, I honed my skills working for city magazines and eventually found my way to Apartment Therapy. I have a deep appreciation for content that is both witty and informative, whether it’s recommending the latest must-watch show, getting involved in community initiatives, or sprucing up your living space.

In my role as Assistant Editor of Home Projects, I specialize in all things DIY and design, curating our popular Before & After series. If you’ve recently completed a noteworthy project, I’d love to hear from you! When I’m not immersed in work, you can find me tackling the daily crossword, catching up with friends, savoring iced lattes, and enjoying leisurely strolls or the occasional run. If only there was a job that combined all of these activities – until then, I’ll continue to engage in lively conversations, indulge in good reads, sip on lattes, and explore the outdoors, all while juggling writing, editing, and admiring unique homes.
