I enjoy participating in ‘ask me anything’ sessions because I relish the opportunity to reflect, process, journal, and engage in self-indulgence. I am always intrigued by the people I follow, so I have selected the most personal questions that I would love someone to answer.
Are Your Farm Animals A Lot of Work? How Much Land Do You Have?

Having farm animals is a joy, especially during the drier months. They are amusing, endearing, bring laughter, are a hit with neighbors, and motivate the kids to do their chores without much fuss. However, from November to March, it becomes challenging and significantly less enjoyable. The dark, muddy conditions combined with copious amounts of waste make tending to the animals a tough task. Despite the challenges, we still find joy in their company during the drier months. Our property spans about 2 1/2 acres, with their enclosed paddock occupying around half an acre. While they are delightful to have around and we cherish them, I wouldn’t readily recommend them as pets to everyone. They do not reciprocate love like our dogs, and dealing with their waste requires a strong stomach. Nonetheless, they bring laughter and teach valuable lessons to the kids. If you are contemplating getting farm animals, think long and hard before making a decision.
How Often Do You Visit Coos Bay? Fun Fact: Your Mom Was My 4H Leader in School!

Wow! I love this connection – it’s clear you are a local. My brother and I took our families back to Coos Bay three summers ago after over a decade. We stayed at Bay Point Landing, a fantastic glamping resort, and indulged in activities like dune rides, beach hikes, walks at Shore Acres, and revisited our childhood home. The town feels like a time capsule, with a particularly exceptional high school – shoutout to Marshfield. The Bay bridge remains as beautiful as ever. While I may not visit frequently, Coos Bay is a wonderful stopover during an Oregon road trip.
Where Are You in Your Faith Journey?

Thank you for asking 🙂 I am currently on a spiritual path where I feel grounded and connected to the universe/God after a period of seeking. While I may not align with traditional organized religion anymore (having been raised Mormon), spirituality and a sense of universal connection have become integral parts of my daily life, bringing me immense comfort. I recently delved into the works of Laura Lynne Jackson, particularly her books ‘Signs’ and ‘Guided’ (as she is a professional medium), which offer profound insights into life after death and our interconnectedness. Despite the challenging state of the world, I find solace in these narratives. I remain open to exploring different spiritual avenues and am currently feeling spiritually connected. Thank you for inquiring. xx
