
A while back, the idea of putting up cafe curtains in the kitchen was suggested to combat the dark, reflective windows during the winter months. After some delay, January was chosen as the perfect time to tackle the project. Opting for a DIY approach to save costs, the process seemed straightforward.

This is an unstyled view of our bright and sunny kitchen, illustrating the need for cafe curtains as daylight fades. The dirty windows will be attended to in the spring.
Adding onto the living room, slight changes have been made to enhance the space.
The Block Print

After choosing a block print linen in bright white with a green and gray pattern, the panels were meticulously crafted, albeit with a no-sew approach. Despite looking great in photos, the initial brightness and high contrast against the kitchen’s evening mess prompted a change of plan.
