This resonates with me as I recently renovated our rundown garage and the change has been not just good for business but also for my emotional well-being. Where We Came From… The Before
The garage was in desperate need of restoration, and after months of work and a significant investment, it’s now weatherproof, functional, and spider-proof. The transformation has been incredible.
The space was finished with pine tongue and groove walls and ceilings for flexibility and aesthetics, catering to prop/tool storage needs.
We then strategized on the best storage solutions for our needs, from everyday tools to big storage units for furniture and vintage collections.
The furniture from IKEA provided the perfect balance of functionality and aesthetics, meeting our specific storage needs elegantly.
IKEA To The Rescue
My shopping journey led me to IKEA, where I found the perfect storage furniture that met all our needs while looking aesthetically pleasing. The result is a well-organized and visually appealing garage space.
The Perfectly Functional Garage Makeover
Transforming a garage from a cluttered space filled with 80s Porsche posters and bins of screws into a beautiful and functional area was the goal. The back wall became the focal point of this garage makeover project.
To maximize space, a wall of streamlined cabinetry featuring the IKEA PAX closet system with green door fronts was installed. The online design program made the process easy, ensuring every detail was accounted for.
The 39″ cabinets were chosen with shelving on top and drawers on the bottom, providing ample storage and organization. Mesh drawers were included for added functionality.
The makeover continued with deep shelving on the west wall and a combination of shelving and cabinets on the east wall. The BROR shelving units in green were chosen for their aesthetic appeal and functionality.
The garage makeover involved purging unnecessary items and organizing the space efficiently. The results were not only visually appealing but also contributed to a more functional and practical garage space.
