Last year, we decided to forgo decorating our house for Christmas as it looked the same as the previous year. However, this year we were inspired by our new Barb sofas and felt eager to decorate and share. Despite the busyness of November for content creators, I didn’t have time to plan ahead, so I improvised with items from the garage and a visit to the Mill End Fabric store. The day of the shoot was challenging at first, with the first shot taking hours to perfect. After numerous styling changes, we finally achieved the desired look with pops of pinks and ochres, deviating from the expected Ralph Lauren trend to create a playful and whimsical Scandi-inspired living room with a family tree adorned with DIYs and sentimental ornaments, creating a cozy and enjoyable space.

This year, I used plaid taffeta fabric to create ribbons that added a festive touch to the space, complementing the Anthropologie blanket and Schoolhouse pillow.
