When it comes to my primary bedroom, the first iteration was not a favorite among readers, and I understand why. It lacked a cohesive design and felt more thrown together than intentionally styled. With so many rooms to work on simultaneously, some inevitably get neglected. However, I always hesitate to criticize my own work too harshly because having a bedroom, regardless of its design flaws, is a blessing in itself.
As a quick recap…

Starting with a basic white box, I aimed to create a cozy yet minimalistic bedroom as the big reveal was approaching. However, certain aspects of the room didn’t sit well with me, prompting some changes.
What Were The Things I Didn’t Like?
The choice of paint color, Debonaire, while beautiful, felt too bright during sunny days, making it a bit overwhelming for me. I contemplated repainting it with a softer powder blue, Eventide, but the cost and effort involved deterred me from pursuing this minor upgrade.
Wrong Bed

The bed, originally intended for the guest room, didn’t quite fit the aesthetic of the primary bedroom. While I appreciated its scale and shape, the intricate pattern got lost in the room’s vastness.
Leftover Rug

Despite its plushness and stain-resistant qualities, the light gray rug didn’t complement the room’s overall vibe and appeared somewhat melancholic.
Rug Change

Swapping out the white rug for a taupey-pink alternative added a softer, tonal element to the room, enhancing its overall aesthetic.
Ultimately, the room underwent several transformations to achieve a cozier, more inviting ambiance. While certain elements may not have been perfect, the overall result is a significant improvement from its initial state.
