When I decided to shoot the Barb sofas in this room for some marketing love, I never expected it to lead to a profound realization about the life I want to live. A few weeks ago, I showcased the Alice sofas in this space, which were specifically designed for this room. Remember the concerns about balance and tones we discussed? Well, it seems like those issues have been resolved with the Barb sofas. While I still adore the Alice sofas, I am surprised to admit that these Barbs seem to work even better in this room. However, opinions may vary (social media responses were mixed). Take a look:
As I toggle back and forth on the slider, I notice two distinct vibes. The green hues exude richness and design-forward elegance, while the blue/pink tones create a more inviting and cozy atmosphere. The asymmetrical layout with these colors has brought a whole new energy to the room, emphasizing scale and balance.
The warmth and harmony of the color palette, coupled with the open layout, create an airy and inviting ambiance in the room. Surprisingly, the space feels warmer despite its lighter appearance. The soft colors contribute to this Scandinavian vibe, which I didn’t expect to work so well in this setting.
The room’s overall feel is calm and cozy, with a perfect balance of depth and contrast. While there is always room for improvement, the current setup has a comforting appeal that I find myself drawn to.
I like them both, but the pink/blue color scheme seems to flow better and alleviates the urge to address other balance issues in the room. Yet, I’m curious to know your thoughts. Which do you prefer as-is, or would you consider making changes to combine elements from both setups?
