Strava, a popular running and cycling app, recently announced a partnership with Fi Smart Dog Collar on February 22. This collaboration will allow dog owners to track their furry friend’s fitness levels.
The timing of this partnership couldn’t have been more perfect, as February 22 happens to be National Walk Your Dog Day!
In an Instagram post, both apps shared the exciting news, stating, “To celebrate, we’re walking in a new way: Fi and Strava are finally in sync.”
According to Strava’s announcement, dog owners can now integrate the data from the Fi Collar into their Strava accounts.
“Your Fi activities upload to Strava with a graphic featuring stats from the walk like steps, rankings, and strakes,” Strava explained.
Once Fi is synced with Strava, “you won’t have to lift a paw,” as the fitness app puts it.
Fi can automatically detect and record data when you take your dog for a walk, making tracking your dog’s health effortless.
This new feature can monitor your dog’s health by tracking the distance they travel and the number of steps they take during a walk.
“When your Fi walks are uploaded to Strava they will include a graphic featuring stats on steps taken, and how your dog ranks among other dogs on Fi.”
Aside from tracking walks, the Fi Smart Dog Collar offers advanced GPS tracking, activity monitoring, sleep tracking, and behavior monitoring.
Strava describes Fi as a revolutionary dog collar that combines GPS tracking with comprehensive health monitoring features.
To celebrate the partnership, both companies showcased their employees’ dogs in a community post, highlighting their love for their furry companions and the benefits of using Strava and Fi.
Additionally, Strava and Fi are offering 100 FREE limited edition Fi x Strava collars. You can participate in the giveaway here.
“Now the two best platforms for movement are seamlessly integrated, and even more importantly: Your dog can get all the kudos they deserve.”
