I have a moderate love for decorating during the Christmas/holiday season, probably around a 7 on a scale of 1-10. I enjoy the idea of adding festive decor to my home for a few months, but I often find store-bought decorations either too pricey or not to my liking (blow-up lawn ornaments are a hard pass for me). However, I do enjoy shopping for twinkly lights, greenery, glittery swag, and cute Christmas pillows. The festive colors and whimsical vibes of the season always draw me in, and I eagerly embrace them each year. But when it comes to incorporating DIY decor elements into my holiday home, my enthusiasm goes off the charts! If you’re like me and want to add some handmade holiday decorations to your space but don’t know where to start, keep reading for some easy and fun ideas to bring that crafty charm to your home this winter season.

The desire to create handmade items is deeply ingrained in me, thanks to my upbringing. My mom and I spent countless hours being creative together during my childhood. One year, we crafted a Halloween art piece using scrap wood and magazine cut-outs, which inspired me to create my own DIY Christmas decor this year. Let me share with you what I came up with:
Collage Christmas Trees

I have a passion for collage, as my team at EHD can attest. Creating vision boards during our last retreat was a meditative experience for me. A few years ago, I decided to make collage Christmas trees using old magazines, chipboard, glue, brads, and clothespins. It was a simple yet delightful project that I proudly display every year.
