BTS member V is currently serving his mandatory military service, along with other members of the group, except for Jin. While away, V shared an adorable picture on social media with his beloved pet dog Yeontan, expressing how much he misses him. Yeontan, just like his owner, has a huge following among fans.
BTS’ V shares heartfelt Instagram story with Yeontan
On July 11, V posted a story on Instagram featuring his pet pomeranian Yeontan, with a caption expressing his longing for his furry friend while being away in the military. The post also included a song titled “The Sleeping Dog” by Asia Chow, promoting her new single.

Yeontan, a black and tan pomeranian, was introduced to fans in 2017 during Jin’s birthday live. While V was initially unable to care for him due to his busy schedule, Yeontan now resides with V in his Seoul apartment. The adorable pup is friendly with all BTS members and has even appeared in some of their vlogs and videos.
Yeontan, also known as Tannie, has garnered a lot of attention from fans and was even featured on the cover of V’s latest solo album “Layover,” although a look-alike dog was used for the concept photos shot in Spain.
Updates on V’s latest activities
V enlisted in the military in December 2023 and is expected to be discharged in June 2025. His solo single “FRI(END)S” was well-received, and his debut solo studio album “Layover” features six songs, with “Slow Dancing” as the lead track.
