Simon Cowell has welcomed a new addition to his growing family of furry friends, just a few months after bringing home a German Shepherd named Pebbles.
The 64-year-old music mogul, known for his love of dogs, shares his home with his fiancée Lauren Silverman, their 10-year-old son Eric, and five dogs.
The latest member of the family is a Chihuahua, which Simon proudly showcased in a series of adorable Instagram photos on Tuesday.
Simon captioned the post with ‘I’ve just fallen in love,’ but has not yet revealed the name of the new pooch.
This Chihuahua marks Simon’s sixth dog, joining German Shepherd Pebbles, Yorkshire terriers Squiddly and Diddly, as well as his late mother’s dog Freddy and Daisy, whom he adopted in Barbados.
In April 2022, Simon announced his intention to leave a substantial amount of money to various dog shelters in his will, estimated to be around £20 million.
This decision came after a bike accident that left him with an injured arm, prompting him to solidify his last wishes.
Simon shared that the process of creating his will was difficult but ultimately gave him peace of mind as he ensured that everything he cares about would be covered.
He also mentioned his plans to leave a significant sum to dog charities, including Dogs Trust, K9 in Barbados, and Battersea Dogs Home in London.
Simon’s love for dogs is evident in his dedication to rescuing animals like Daisy, whom he found abandoned in Barbados and nursed back to health.
Additionally, Simon has expressed his desire to clone his beloved pets, a testament to the strong bond he shares with them.
He plans to invest £180,000 in cloning his dogs through a South Korean company, emphasizing his deep attachment to his furry companions.
Simon’s dogs accompany him on his travels between Los Angeles, London, and the Caribbean, receiving special treatment with their own toys and treats during flights.
