Greetings, everyone! Last week was a significant one for Jess, with the revealing of her living room and bedroom, along with celebrating 9 years at EHD. If you haven’t seen those spaces yet, be sure to take a look. Meanwhile, the PDX team had an exciting shoot, and November is shaping up to be a fantastic month. Let’s dive into the highlights.
This week’s house tour is a paradise for pink enthusiasts! Designer Claudia Lambert crafted a modern family home filled with postmodern touches and an array of stunning pink shades. Don’t miss out on this visual delight!
From Emily: For our local friends in Portland, I want to shine a spotlight on two fantastic second-hand stores where I donate some of my items. I often consign my high-end clothing at Consign Couture in Multnomah Village. Recently, I dropped off a haul of barely worn designer pieces like Ulla Johnson, The Great, Sezane, and NWT Madewell. The store always has amazing finds, so if you’re in the area, be sure to check it out. And while you’re there, grab a bite at Yalla, visit JP General, and explore Form & Function just a block away – I adore that design shop.
For all other items, especially children’s clothing, I donate to Shirtzenpantz, a cool thrift store in Hillsdale known for its unique social media presence and popularity among teenagers in Portland.
From Marlee: In a recent post, I shared my winter essentials but forgot to mention one crucial item – the Hatch alarm clock. This innovative device has transformed my bedtime and morning routine, making waking up a pleasant experience. With customizable settings and soothing sounds, it has truly improved my sleep quality.
From Gretchen: While rearranging furniture, I was reminded of the convenience of having furniture sliders on hand. These sliders make moving large pieces a breeze, whether on hardwood or carpet, and are incredibly durable.
From Caitlin: Embracing whimsy, I recently added tortellini cabinet knobs to my decor. Handcrafted by KOLOS Ceramics, these knobs add a playful touch to my space and support a small business.
From Mallory: I’ve been loving a $50 denim jacket lately for its versatility and chic design. The leather collar detail adds a touch of sophistication, reminiscent of higher-end jackets.
Additionally, during the Dwell Open House event, I had the opportunity to tour some remarkable residential homes in LA, including the iconic Hollyhock House. It was an inspiring experience to interact with homeowners and architects, making it a memorable Saturday.
From Arlyn: As a fan of graphic tees, I couldn’t resist adding a fun “Running Late” hat to my collection. The playful design and fall color palette instantly caught my eye, making it a stylish yet affordable accessory.
From Jess: A fan of matte neutral eye makeup, I recently upgraded to the Makeup by Mario Matte Palette for its warm neutrals and compact size. This palette has become a staple in my routine, offering a range of shades that I love.
Thank you for joining us in this design journey, and stay tuned for an exciting reveal coming your way soon!
