After receiving numerous inquiries about the disappearance of the rug line collaboration, I wanted to address some of the questions surrounding the situation. Many have asked why I am no longer featured on the website and if some of our rugs have been renamed. Here’s the story.
Why Aren’t You On the Website Anymore?
The collaboration with Rugs USA was terminated mid-contract, despite the success of our previous lines. After two successful collaborations over two years, they decided to end the partnership.

Why Was It Cancelled?
The decision to cancel the line was driven by leadership changes and financial shifts within the company. The new CEO did not see collaborations as part of the company’s vision, leading to the cancellation of our partnership.
Did You See It Coming?
There were signs of changes early on, such as shifts in marketing personnel and delays in production. These indicators hinted at the eventual cancellation of the collaboration.

Are You Bummed?
We are definitely sad about the end of the collaboration, as we put a lot of effort and pride into the rugs. However, we understand that business decisions are necessary for sustainability.
Was It Because They Didn’t Sell?
The decision to discontinue the collaboration was not due to poor sales. In fact, the high sales numbers may have prompted the company to bring the line in-house.

Do You Regret Doing It?
We have no regrets about the collaboration, as it was a valuable learning experience for us and a successful venture overall.
Are You Looking For Another Rug Partner?
We are actively seeking a new rug partner following the end of our collaboration with Rugs USA. We are excited about the opportunity to work with another company and create even better rugs for our audience.

The Biggest Bummer…
The disappointment comes from the fact that my brother’s river house, designed around the rugs, will now be featured without benefiting from the design work and marketing efforts put into the project.
Can They Still Use Your Photos And The Names Of The Rugs?
Yes, they have the rights to use the photos and rug names, as they were involved in the production and marketing of the rugs.

If We Buy Them Does EHD Benefit?
While we may include affiliate links to the rugs, the benefits are minimal compared to the previous collaboration. We still believe in the quality of the rugs and will continue to showcase them.

It was a great experience working on this project and we are grateful for the support from our audience. We look forward to new opportunities and continued growth in the future.
We appreciate your continued support and interest in our work. Onward and upwards!
