My Friend’s Moody Dark Green Dining Room (You Should See The Before)

I had the pleasure of designing an eclectic cool dining room for one of my best friends. This dining room is a continuation of the “traditional with a big edge” style, combining classic elements with contemporary twists. I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out.

When my friends bought the house, everything was neutral and subdued. They quickly added a pop of green paint (Bancha from Farrow & Ball chosen with Max Humphrey) to amp up the space. I then furnished the room, indulging in my favorite hobby of spending other people’s money on Saturday mornings.

Key Items: Wallpaper | Trim Color | Art (vintage) | Lamp | Dresser (old) | Bowl | White Chair (vintage) | Lumbar Pillow | Blue Sofa | Striped Velvet Pillow | Loveseat | Coffee Table | Rug | Flush Mount | Spotlight

The dining room seamlessly connects to the living room, creating a harmonious flow of colors and styles. The bold green paint draws you in, while the interior colors complement the living room perfectly, creating a joyful atmosphere.

Featured Items: Marble Footed Bowls | Gold Candlestick Holders (similar) | Little Pedastal Bowl (similar)

Note: The open book on the dining table is for styling purposes only and is not normally left open.

Outfit: Denim Shirt | Long Skirt | Clogs

This room doubles as a home office, with additional shelving for functionality. The addition of a cabinet and a statement lamp adds a touch of sophistication and moodiness to the space.

The color scheme of greens, blues, and red tones creates a cozy yet modern palette in the dining room. The layered design adds warmth and character to the space, making it a refreshing departure from the typical light and bright Scandinavian style.
