Room: Carriage House Kitchen | Designer: A1000xBetter
We had a fantastic time exploring the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts last weekend, and it was truly a design enthusiast’s dream. The house was a display of creativity and innovation, with over 20 rooms designed by talented designers. Among the many ideas we gathered, here are the top 10 that caught our attention:
#1: Wood Paneling > Beadboard In A Kitchen?

Room: Carriage House Kitchen | Designer: A1000xBetter
Kirsten Blazek from A1000xBetter showcased a beautiful kitchen with heavily grained wood paneling, a refreshing departure from the usual white beadboard or stone. The combination of the wood paneling with a showcase marble created a warm and interesting space, deviating from the traditional all-white kitchen.
#2: Highlight A Truly Special Space With A Truly Special Trim

Room: Primary Suite Bathroom | Designer: Plaster & Patina
Plaster & Patina created a stunning primary suite bathroom with luxurious honey onyx as a frame for the freestanding tub, bringing a touch of elegance to the space. The use of unique materials like onyx throughout the room added a high-end feel and visual interest.
Overall, the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts was a truly inspiring experience, and we hope to implement some of these innovative design ideas in our own projects. For more details on the house and the talented designers, visit here.
