Homemade Vanilla needs to sit for 1-2 months to fully absorb into the vodka. If you’re making it last minute like I did, just make sure to let the recipient know that it may not be ready for immediate use!
SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR HOMEMADE VANILLA
- Vodka (choose a decent quality vodka, not the cheapest one)
- Vanilla Beans (5-6 per bottle)
- Funnel
- Bottles
With just these two simple ingredients, you can create your own delicious homemade vanilla extract.
STEP 1
Cut the vanilla beans in half and slice them lengthwise. Add them to your bottle.

STEP 2
Fill the bottle with vodka.

STEP 3
Attach the label, add a pretty ribbon, and a garnish like a sprig of cedar for a finishing touch!

Print the labels on card stock and attach them to each bottle using super glue.
Voila! A beautiful and tasty homemade gift that anyone would appreciate!
