Welcome to the First Design Coach Series
Welcome to the first reveal of the inaugural “Design Coach” series, where we assist a family with their remodel and document the process. Chrissy and Peter were amazing clients with great taste and DIY skills, despite the challenges of having three young kids and a frequently traveling career. Working with them was a joy, and we are grateful for their partnership throughout this journey.

Chrissy and Peter recently completed their DIY IKEA kitchen makeover, showcasing an incredible before-and-after transformation. Their dedication to staying within budget, making compromises, and learning along the way resulted in a stunning kitchen that reflects their personal style.
A Total Transformation
Their kitchen makeover involved careful planning and hard work, resulting in a completely revamped space that feels open and inviting. To see the entire process, check out their previous post here.

The Lighting

They chose to retain most of the existing can lighting in the kitchen to manage costs effectively. By strategically moving and removing some lights, they were able to redirect their budget towards enhancing the dining room lighting for a more significant impact.
Final Thoughts

In conclusion, Chrissy and Peter’s IKEA kitchen transformation is truly impressive. Their attention to detail, creative design choices, and DIY spirit have resulted in a kitchen that is both functional and beautiful. We look forward to sharing more about their built-in bookcase and dining area in the next update. Stay tuned for more DIY inspiration!
