Randy Moore and Ella Snyder celebrated a significant victory at the Dixie National Super Sort by clinching the championship at the Professional’s Choice #9 Gold Shootout. After several near-wins in the past, the duo successfully sorted 30 head in 156.58 seconds, earning $5,832.

The victory was a testament to the strong partnership that Moore, from Yatesville, Georgia, and Snyder, from Fayetteville, Tennessee, have cultivated over time. Although they had come close to winning before, this win was particularly special.

Moore shared, “We’ve always ridden well together. We’ve consistently made it to the later rounds, but this win has been elusive until now. It’s a really satisfying achievement for us.”

Success in Gold Shootout classes seems to run in the Moore family, as Gage Moore, Randy’s son, also secured a championship earlier in the season. The victory at Dixie National was another significant milestone for the family, with Snyder expressing her joy in accomplishing such a high-reward win with her partner.

Reflecting on their strategy heading into the final round, Snyder mentioned, “We were in a good position, so I focused on letting the run unfold naturally and seeing where it took us.”

Both riders relied on talented young horses for their success. Moore rode Cash Tags, a 2020 gelding, while Snyder partnered with PRF Empire, a promising 2021 gelding.

Snyder highlighted the progress of her young horse, stating, “PRF Empire has really come into his own as a 4-year-old. He was a bit immature initially, but now he’s showing great potential and will be a force to reckon with.”
