The Latest Updates on America’s Most Controversial Bathroom
I’ve been eagerly awaiting the progress on America’s most controversial bathroom, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey. The framers have been hard at work, although progress has been slow. But that’s okay because I’ve been busy with other projects and will soon have the time to focus on this one. The updates I’ve seen so far have been both exciting and fun. Come take a look at where I’m at with the guest cottage bathroom!
The restored window is back in place, thanks to Sash & Cord. It’s a big, beautiful window that adds a unique touch to the bathroom. The decision to replicate it turned out to be a great choice, and I couldn’t be happier with how it looks. The high ceilings allow for some creative design elements, like a bench or seating area, which will add to the overall charm of the space.
The natural light in the room is stunning, thanks to the Velux skylights. While it may not be a typical choice for a bathroom, this space is all about creativity and pushing boundaries. The skylights add a beautiful glow to the room and enhance the overall aesthetic.
As the project progresses, I’m faced with decisions about the walls inside the water closet and the flooring. I’m leaning towards painted beadboard for the walls and thin brick herringbone for the floor. While these choices come with their own challenges, I’m excited to see how they will complement the rest of the design.
Next week, the team will be finishing up the cladding and trim work in the bathroom. It’s time to give this unique space the attention it deserves and ensure that every detail is executed to perfection.
