When it comes to blanketing your horse, it’s important to pay attention to how you fasten the clasps on the blanket. Incorrectly fastened clasps can lead to potential problems when your horse rubs up against stalls, gates, or fences. Take the time to ensure that the clasps are securely fastened to avoid any accidents or injuries.

Always fasten the clasps of your horse’s blanket facing inward to prevent them from catching on anything. This simple adjustment can help avoid potential accidents and keep your horse safe.

One common mistake is hooking the strap with the clasp facing outward. This makes it easy for the clasp to reopen and get caught on something when your horse rubs against objects like gates, fences, or stall doors. To prevent this, make sure to always clip the blanket clasps facing inward, so they stay securely fastened and out of harm’s way.

By fastening the clasps inward with the flush side facing away from your horse, you can minimize the risk of them getting caught on objects when your horse moves or scratches. This simple adjustment can make a big difference in keeping your horse safe and comfortable.
