I have a major photoshoot scheduled in LA in a few weeks, focusing on a “fun, summer BBQ” theme, which is right in my wheelhouse (shooting in Orange County). I need to put together 3-5 looks, so I spent some time trying on various tops (and a couple of dresses), and here are my absolute favorites. While I’m currently out of the country with my family, I wanted to share some adorable spring/summer blouses that I’m really excited about (although I’m not sure if I need all of them, but time will tell). I haven’t finalized the outfits yet, but I’m starting with the tops since they will be the focal point, and I’ll pair them with the perfect pants or shorts. So, if you’re wondering why the pants and shoes are the same in the pictures, I totally understand 🙂

I absolutely love this blouse. It’s a definite yes for me because of its great cut, color, beautiful embroidery detail, and lightweight yet structured feel. The princess sleeves are incredibly flattering. I’m considering sizing up since it’s a bit tight in the chest area (wearing a size small), but overall, I adore it. The pants are the barrel pants that I’m currently obsessed with (the button-fly adds a flattering touch, and the length is just right). The shoes are from last year, and I haven’t worn them yet (from Beek, which is a bit pricey, but I adore their shoes).
Another lovely number from Sezane that I thought would pair well with white shorts (not these though). I adore this top, but my only complaint about Sezane is that their fabric tends to be thick, which is great for quality but makes it hard to tuck in due to the long straight hem. This shirt looks great on camera with its intricate details, but I wish it had a lighter fabric for easier tucking (also, I have a short torso, so if you have a longer torso, tucking may not be necessary).

I’m absolutely in love with this blouse – it’s detailed yet simple and looks great on camera. It’s lightweight, features covered buttons, and has a charming little collar. Unfortunately, it seems to be out of stock in this particular color (apologies!), even though I recently purchased it! Boo!
