Pop legend Debbie Gibson shares her incredible journey from chart-topping teen prodigy to timeless entertainer in her highly anticipated debut memoir, Eternally Electric. Released September 9, the book offers intimate reflections, hard-won wisdom, and an empowering message of authenticity and resilience.

Debbie Gibson Eternally Electric

Best known for her record-breaking hit Foolish Beat, Gibson has sold over 16 million albums worldwide and continues to be an inspiring force for reinvention and self-expression.

In a recent interview from her home in Las Vegas, Gibson discussed the process of writing her memoir and shared some of her favorite beauty products and treatments.

How does it feel to have this rush of press and energy as you promote the book?

Gibson expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and respect she has received during the book promotion, highlighting the positive impact of sharing her life story with the world.

Was it a challenge to make time to write it, or did it all just come out?

Gibson discussed the process of deciding what to include in the memoir, reflecting on the rich tapestry of her life experiences and the guidance of her collaborator, Richard Buskin.

That’s a great compliment. Since you did say you’re the person who’s always working, are you better now letting work be work and your personal life be your personal life?

Gibson acknowledged the importance of balancing work and personal life, emphasizing the need for downtime and unplugging to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Very true. Since we are a beauty magazine, I have to ask, are there any beauty products you really like, the stuff you’ve used forever that you swear by?

Gibson shared her love for organic and lightly scented beauty products, mentioning her favorite items from the Honest brand and emphasizing the importance of self-care and balance in her beauty routine.

Debbie Gibson appreciates Jessica Alba for creating Keranique, as it is a hair product that she loves and doesn’t irritate her. She used to be a spokeswoman for the brand and still admires their nourishing products. Despite not promoting them for personal gain, she finds Keranique to be very effective in maintaining her hair.

Additionally, Debbie Gibson expresses her love for other beauty products such as Tatcha Beauty moisturizers, Tarte maracuja oil, Findley eye serum, NARS makeup, Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost, and Rare Beauty blush in the shade “Happy.” She also mentions her favorite hair products like Joico KBOND mask and Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.

When it comes to cosmetic procedures, Debbie shares that she recently tried Xeomin to address aging lines and found it to be effective. She also discusses her makeup preferences, opting for softer browns in mascara and using copper liners like Victoria Beckham and Melt for a pop of color in her hazel eyes. Sally Hansen airbrush legs and Wow hair powder are essential staples for her, as she loves showing off her legs and maintaining her hair while traveling. Please rewrite the following sentence to make it more concise:

“I am going to the store to buy some groceries for dinner tonight.”
