Edilon “Cowboy” Mariano and Alyson Oliveira Win Professional’s Choice #9 Gold Shootout
Edilon “Cowboy” Mariano and Alyson Oliveira, hailing from Holliston, Massachusetts, joined forces to emerge victorious in the Professional’s Choice #9 Gold Shootout at the 2026 Northeast Regional Super Sort held at the Keystone Horse Center in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday, April 17.
After a fierce competition against skilled ranch sorters and tackling tough cattle challenges over the weekend, Mariano and Oliveira claimed the championship title following four intense rounds. Their impressive performance saw them sort 25 head in 210.01 seconds, earning them a prize of $7,510.
Both Mariano and Oliveira are rookies in the RSNC arena and they continued their winning streak throughout the event, securing multiple top 10 finishes and showcasing their talent.
Mariano also excelled in the #3-4 Division, finishing as the third-highest regional point earner, further solidifying their successful outing at the prestigious ranch sorting event in the Northeast.
By participating in the Northeast Regional Super Sort, Mariano and Oliveira are closer to meeting the five-show requirement to qualify for the $10,000 Northeast Circuit Bonus at the upcoming Cinch RSNC Northeast Circuit Finals in Columbiana, Ohio, scheduled for Aug. 21–23, 2026.
