Logan and Jessie Wolfe of Wellington, Colorado, emerged victorious at the Priefert Open Gold Shootout title during the Cinch RSNC South Central Regional Super Sort event in Waco, Texas. They sorted 27 head in 140.53 seconds across three rounds, earning $4,720.

Competing on their own seasoned horses against tough cattle, the husband-and-wife duo sorted 20 head in the first two rounds, then excelled as high call in the final round to secure the win.

This victory was their first since the birth of their son, McCall, in January, and marked Jessie’s return to sorting competition with a warm welcome from the Cinch RSNC family.

Spicy Cattle, Sharp Minds

The cattle at the South Central Regional Super Sort were described as tough, providing a challenging yet exciting experience for all competitors.

Logan and Jessie praised the quality of the cattle and how it added a level of finesse to the game, requiring precision and strategic thinking.

The Plan, Round by Round

Heading into the competition, Jessie accurately predicted the level of difficulty in each round, showcasing her strategic mindset.

The Wolfes sorted 10 head in the second round, becoming the only 20-head team entering the final round with a high call advantage.

Despite facing tough competition, Jessie and Logan’s synergy as a team allowed them to navigate the challenges effectively and secure the win.

The Horses That Got It Done

In a bold move, Logan rode one of Jessie’s horses, “Jag,” for the final round, showcasing the trust and camaraderie between the couple.

Jag, a remarkable gelding, proved his worth once again, while Jessie’s horse, “Swag,” displayed impressive athleticism and skill during the competition.

Game-changers: Gold Shootouts, Standings, and the World Finals

Logan highlighted the impact of Gold Shootouts on ranch sorting, emphasizing the excitement and increased payouts they bring to the sport.

The Gold Shootouts offer participants the opportunity to compete for higher rewards and better season earnings, ultimately leading to a chance to qualify for the Champion of the Champions tournament at the World Finals.

Following their recent win, both Logan and Jessie have made strides in the standings and are on track to compete in the prestigious Champion of the Champions event at the World Finals.

Notably, Jessie stands out as the sole female ranch sorter to have made it to the COTC leaderboard in the Open division.

Logan and Jessie have a strong partnership both in and out of the sorting pen, having been together for 11 years and married for eight. Logan humorously admits that Jessie “held the team together and made me look good” during their recent win. Raised in the ranch sorting community, Logan is excited to pass on his love for the sport to their son.

Having competed in sorting since her teenage years in Central Oregon, Jessie’s passion for horses shines through in her dedication to the sport. After the birth of their son, McCall, Jessie made a triumphant return to competition, craving the excitement of the sorting pen. With a supportive team behind her, Jessie is back in action and loving every moment of it.

Their recent win as a family at a sorting event marks a special moment for Jessie, Logan, and McCall. Despite McCall’s young age, he has already traveled extensively with his parents, proving to be a resilient and adventurous little trooper.

Next on the agenda for the Wolfe family is the North Central Regional Super Sort in Loveland, Colorado, followed by the highly anticipated Cinch RSNC World Finals XIX in Fort Worth. RSNC members looking to meet Baby McCall should be prepared for long wait times as the family focuses on their upcoming competitions. paragraph in a more concise manner:

Please be advised that the meeting has been rescheduled for next Wednesday at 2 p.m. Thank you for your understanding.
