Design Projects Update
This summer has been a whirlwind of design projects, keeping us busy and fulfilled. Despite the tight deadlines, the creative freedom and autonomy we have on each project make the work so enjoyable for my team.
1. Tiny House for Velux
We are currently working on a dream project designing a tiny house for Velux, our skylight partner. This tiny house will travel to various design events to showcase Velux skylights. The project allows us a lot of creative freedom, and we are collaborating with Tiny House Basics to bring the design to life. The contemporary cottage style we are implementing is sure to be a unique take on the traditional Tiny House.
2. My Sister’s Kitchen Makeover
We have been working on a kitchen makeover project for my sister with the support of our sponsor, Lowes. The project has been smooth sailing with the help of their installers, and we are excited to reveal the finished product soon.
3. Fall Dining Room/Entertaining Makeover
We are currently transforming our upstairs meeting room into a dining room for a partner. The project involves painting walls, floors, and adding lighting fixtures to create a vibrant entertaining space.
4. Beth’s Makeover
We are working on brightening up Beth’s living room with a redesign project for Velux. Despite some construction delays, we are excited to finalize the project once the skylights are installed.
5. The Guest Cottage
The guest cottage project has been a bit delayed due to other priorities, but we are now making progress with the construction. Stay tuned for updates on this cozy space.
6. Elliot and Charlie’s Rooms
While my kids’ rooms are currently on the back burner during the week, I enjoy working on them during weekends. The design process has been a fun and stress-free creative outlet.
Despite the challenges of juggling multiple projects and maintaining a work-life balance, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with my team and share our design journey with you all. Stay tuned for more exciting reveals this fall!
