Introduction
In my second attempt at designing a living room, I encountered the challenge of finding a coffee table that was the right size. The ideal coffee table should be at least half the length of your sofa, but this measurement can vary based on the sofa you have. In my first apartment, I faced limitations due to a small living room and a statement navy pouf that posed a height challenge. Key Rules for Coffee Tables
- Your coffee table should be at least half the length of your sofa to maintain the right scale in your living room.
- The height of your coffee table should not exceed 4 inches above or below the top of your sofa seat cushions.
- Ensure there is an ideal distance of 16″ to 18″ between the sofa and coffee table to avoid overcrowding the space.
