It’s a beautiful day in Portland with sunny weather at 60 degrees on February 28th. People are out enjoying the sunshine, wearing shorts, and sipping margaritas. I’m taking advantage of the weather by leaving work early at 3 pm to go on a family bike ride along the river. While Portland might still have a few months of potential rain ahead, many people are heading to sunnier destinations for spring break, including my family. We are excited to be going to Belize with the kids, a trip that I am incredibly grateful for as I’ve never been there before and have heard wonderful things from other travelers.
When we went to Costa Rica for spring break a few years ago, I made the mistake of not packing the right clothes for the humidity.
