Happy Sunday, and happy long Memorial weekend to those of you who are fortunate enough to have the day off. Also, happy Eid to those who will be celebrating this upcoming week! This week, we announced our Velux room makeover winner, and we hope you’re as thrilled about it as we are. It’s truly one of the best parts of this job to assist extremely deserving individuals in creating a home they adore and feel secure in. Isn’t that what everyone desires and deserves? We believe so. Now, onto this week’s highlights…
This week’s house tour is absolutely stunning. It features the home of Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam, a new build cabin in British Columbia by a lake… a dream come true. The staircase and fireplace are extraordinary, and each room is meticulously designed. The designer described the style as “kind of a modern-mountain-chalet-meets-a-grandma’s-farmhouse-in-England.” Enjoy!

From Emily: Two super affordable cover-ups and a fantastic summer strappy maxi dress. During the annual (and always a bit *oof)) 2026 swimsuit review, I discovered Cupshe, which seems to specialize in suits that are flattering for curves (i.e., tummy flattening and support for bust). The suits I purchased fit exceptionally well, especially the ones where you can select the cup size. They reached out for a social partnership, and I tried on more of their resort wear, which isn’t something I typically have a good inventory of, and I really liked three of the pieces so much. The black and cream maxi dress was so drapey and flattering, especially for being so affordable. It even has pockets! I wore my “cakes” here, but if you have a smaller chest, you wouldn’t need to wear a bra (or simply wear it over your swimsuit). I usually don’t prefer strappy dresses, but this one had the straps hitting in a really flattering area.

This flowy cover-up is fantastic because it features a pattern that isn’t too loud and in a neutral color, making you feel like you’re not drawing too much attention to yourself (says the girl who loves a bright red swimsuit). With the black halter suit underneath, it felt like a really simple poolside outfit that provided the perfect amount of coverage.

This white button-up cover-up is exceptionally drapey and perfectly sized. It provides room in the arms and armpits without hugging too tightly, yet it remains flattering and drapes well. It comes in other colors, in case white isn’t your go-to (like me, who turns everything orange with my spray tan). Overall, I was highly impressed with how stylish these were for the price.
From Arlyn: I’m not typically one for seasonal decor, except for Christmas and the occasional fall porch-scape, but I stumbled upon the “Americana Edit” page of H&M Home and surprisingly, I love ALL OF IT! The little sardine plates and matching tablecloth are adorable, the red bistro silverware offers the best price for a set like this, and don’t even get me started on these uniquely cute placemats with pocket detailing for flatware. All of it is fantastic and makes me long for summer, except for the heat, humidity, and mosquitoes.
From Mallory: Fancy dresses can be quite expensive, and often you end up wearing them only once. With weddings happening almost every month at my age, I knew there had to be a better way to find stylish wedding guest dresses that won’t break the bank. I had three weddings last month alone (including a destination wedding in Puerto Rico), and I was struggling to find something to wear – until my sister introduced me to Fashion Pass. Essentially, it’s a clothing rental service similar to Rent the Runway or Nuuly. My sister uses these rental services monthly due to her work in a corporate office, where finding suitable attire can be challenging. Since I work from home, I never considered clothing rentals until now. Their introductory offer is $75 per month, which includes 5 items plus an accessory. You can swap out items twice in one month. So, I attended a wedding at the beginning of May and ordered this dress with this purse, and the following week, I went to Puerto Rico and swapped it for this dress with this purse. I also picked up this Farm Rio dress for the rehearsal dinner, along with this cover-up, this dress for strolling around town, and more. I loved the last dress so much that I ended up purchasing it (you get a discount if you decide to buy it, which is a great perk). They provide a bag with a pre-printed return label, making returns hassle-free, and new orders are typically delivered within 2 days. I might pause my membership after this month, but if you have a trip or special event coming up and need some fresh outfits without the hefty price tag, I highly recommend this service!
From Caitlin: Happy start of summer! I’ve been embracing Delaware’s recent 90-degree heatwave by bringing out my favorite leather sandals. I purchased them last year, and while the style took some getting used to – it’s different from your typical flip flop! – they’ve become my go-to shoe for everything. (Seriously, everything. I loaded a 15′ U-Haul, drove it, and unloaded it, all while wearing THESE SANDALS. Not even closed-toe shoes! That’s how comfortable they are, now that they’ve molded to my feet.) I adore the unique shape and the fact that they’re made entirely from natural materials. Although they’re not on sale this weekend, they’re already a steal at $75. I highly recommend them if you’re looking to update your sandal collection!
From Marlee: I’ve been wearing these shoes every day, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon… they’re incredibly comfortable and pair well with any outfit. Without fail, every time I wear them, someone comments on how cute they are – they’re true compliments magnets!! The colorway I own is full price, but some other cute colors are 35% off this weekend 🙂
From Gretchen: I know I’ve mentioned this brilliant product before, but I have to give it another shout-out. This behind-the-sofa table from IKEA will always be a favorite of mine. I have four of these units – three behind my sofa and one used as a side table, connecting with the others to form an L shape. These tables are incredibly affordable, have held up exceptionally well, are designed to look and work seamlessly when pushed
