If you happen to be in New York City today, you’re enduring a scorching temperature of 92 degrees. Despite the heatwave, I can confidently say that I smell amazing—and I haven’t even used perfume in weeks. How is this possible? Well, I made a simple switch in my daily routine by opting for a new deodorant and body wash combination. This duo not only keeps my skin clean and dry but also leaves a long-lasting, intoxicating scent that has completely replaced the need for perfume.

Let’s dive into specifics. The game-changing products that have banished my perfume collection to a box in the hallway closet are Salt & Stone’s Santal & Vetiver Deodorant ($20) and Nécessaire’s The Body Wash in Santal ($25). These products were a spontaneous purchase for me, but their luxuriously warm, musky, and fresh scents won me over instantly.

Salt & Stone Santal & Vetiver Deodorant

The Santal & Vetiver Deodorant by Salt & Stone exudes a rich, woodsy aroma with notes of Australian sandalwood, amber, cedar, violet leaves, and vetiver. Despite not being an anti-perspirant, this deodorant effectively keeps me dry, odor-free, and comfortable even in the sweltering heat. Plus, it’s free from harmful aluminums, parabens, and phthalates. Infused with hyaluronic acid, probiotics, and seaweed extract, it also ensures skin remains moisturized. And the best part? The captivating scent lingers on my skin all day, making me feel confident and fresh.

Nécessaire The Body Wash in Santal

By a stroke of luck, I received a bottle of Nécessaire’s The Body Wash in Santal around the same time as the deodorant. This body wash features sandalwood, iris, black pepper, and suede notes, creating a similar warm and woodsy experience. In addition to its heavenly scent, The Body Wash offers therapeutic benefits with epsom salts, magnesium, zinc, and silica to calm and rejuvenate the skin. Niacinamide and glycerin further protect and deeply moisturize the skin, making it a must-have in my shower routine. Even my husband, who typically shows no interest in body wash, has become a fan of The Body Wash Santal.

In conclusion, while I’m not necessarily bidding farewell to perfume altogether, simplifying my routine by relying on these exceptional Santal products has made life a bit easier. Whether you seek to streamline your beauty regimen or crave a captivating scent with added skincare benefits, I wholeheartedly endorse these Santal picks.
