Tucker Field, 16, of Granbury, Texas, had a remarkable performance at the Cinch RSNC San Antonio Super Sort, winning the inaugural $10,000 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Rated Youth Scholarship. The homeschooled sophomore excelled in the EQN Sports #18 Rated Youth class, accumulating the most points.
Field and partner Jaden Rondy claimed the class championship by sorting 20 head in 86.94 seconds, earning $1,030 in addition to the scholarship prize.
Ranch sorting has been a lifelong passion for Field, who grew up in a family deeply involved in the sport, organizing sorting events across Texas.
Field’s success is attributed to his trusted horse, the 2016 gelding Rio Rojo River Cat, known as “Big Boy.” Big Boy has been a key partner in Field’s achievements both in and out of the sorting pen.
Winning the scholarship at the prestigious San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo was a significant milestone for Field, adding to the experience.
