Myles Brown continued his winning streak after his 2025 Snaffle Bit Futurity Non Pro Championship by guiding the 2022 stallion Painted Shadows to a commanding victory in the Tres Osos Open Derby. Brown achieved a composite score of 662 (218 herd / 219.5 rein / 224.5 fence), which remained unbeatable across all levels of the derby.

The standout performance, coupled with the Chrome Cash bonus, added $83,972 to Painted Shadows’ earnings. Brown, humbly, expressed that he was just focused on executing their plan rather than expecting such success.

The fence work, particularly a remarkable 224.5 score, sealed the victory for Brown and Painted Shadows. Despite some unconventional maneuvers during the run, Brown’s skill and Arnold’s athleticism shined through, solidifying their lead.

Arnold’s journey from a homebred colt to an open standout holds special significance for Brown and his family. Raised out of Miss Scarlets Cat, a mare Brown purchased years ago, Arnold’s success is a testament to the family’s dedication and investment in their horses.

Brown believes that Arnold embodies his dam’s best traits – a good brain, extreme athleticism, and a strong work ethic. The stallion’s barn name, “Arnold,” pays homage to preacher Arnold Murrey, reflecting Brown’s naming theme for his futurity horses.

After years of honing his skills in non pro competitions, Brown felt the time was right to transition into the open ranks. Arnold’s impressive show record in a short period affirms the decision, with Brown optimistic about their future in open competition.

Family plays a significant role in Brown’s success, with his wife, Jaylee Brown, also achieving accolades in the Western performance horse industry. The Browns’ deep-rooted ties to the Texas Panhandle and family cattle operation provide a strong foundation for their endeavors.

As Arnold continues to exceed expectations with over $130,000 in earnings, Brown remains grounded, acknowledging that the talented stallion owes them nothing. With Arnold’s continued success, the Tres Osos sweep may just be the beginning of a promising journey ahead. sentence: Please provide me with your contact information.
